Recipe Comix: What’s-In-Season Soup
Draw us a recipe." That's the brief we sent to a slew of our favorite comic artists; each week, we're thrilled to present what they sent back. The resulting works of art are fantastic, beautiful, hilarious, thoughtful, informative, and often all of the above — and they prove that a recipe doesn't just have to be words on paper. This week's comic comes from Corinne Mucha, a Chicago-based comic artist and illustrator who is, among other things, the inventor of the hard-boiled egg filled with yogurt, on a stick. Here she sticks to slightly more conventional culinary parameters, with an all-purpose, modular recipe for vegetable soup that's adaptable to any produce situation.

Corinne Mucha is the author of the YA graphic novel _Freshman: Tales of 9th Grade Obsessions, Revelations, and Other Nonsense, as well as the Xeric Award winning "My Alaskan Summer." You can find more of her comics at maidenhousefly.com_
