A refreshing marriage between a Tom Collins and a Dark n' Stormy, this lime and ginger beer-spiked gin cocktail developed by Jeff Faile of Washington, D.C.'s The Partisan has an intriguing herbal undertone from the addition of Amaro Abano, a zesty Italian digestif with notes of bitter orange, cardamom, and white pepper.
Ingredients
- 1 oz. gin
- 3⁄4 oz. Amaro Abano
- 1⁄2 oz. lime juice
- Ginger beer, to top
- Lime wedge, for garnish
Instructions
Step 1
Combine gin, amaro, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice; shake vigorously and strain into a Collins glass filled with ice. Top with ginger beer and garnish with lime wedge.
