One Good Find: Maison Dandoy’s Salted Caramel Biscuits
Petite and salty-sweet, these biscuits are a perfect bite
It was teatime at work when a white box festooned with gold polka dots caught my eye; the label informed me that contained within were Maison Dandoy’s Salted Caramel Butter Biscuits. I eagerly popped one of the delicate rounds in my mouth, wondering whether ubiquitous salted caramel’s heyday was truly over. Petite and crunchy, the cookie’s flavor evolved as it crumbled into buttery pieces in my mouth, releasing little specks of caramel before melting away and enveloping my tongue in salty, butterscotch-y goodness. I was hooked. The addictive cookies are handmade in Belgium by one of the oldest biscuit shops in northern Europe, and will be available from Borne Confections as of November 1st, 2013.
