The 2011 SAVEUR Gift Guide

For us, one of the best parts of gift-giving season is its literal aspect of wish-fulfillment: we love being able to deliver to our friends and loved ones things that fill their eyes with joy and their hearts with happiness. So with the holidays in mind, we've created our own most-wanted list: gifts that SAVEUR editors would love to find wrapped up with a bow piled in front of the menorah or under the Christmas tree. From the attainable (a new set of steak knives) to the fantastically indulgent (a trip to Turkey guided by chef Ana Sortun), these are the items on our wish list.

This special edition Kitchenaid mixer, which reminds me of a shade of pink lipstick I used to wear circa 1981, is much prettier than my old gunmetal gray version. It will look fetching as it creams sugar and butter for a batch of ginger snaps! Added bonus: buy one and a portion of proceeds will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. As the Psychedelic Furs say, Isn’t she-eee, pretty in pink? Isn’t she?— Marne Setton, Assistant Editor KitchenAid “Cook for the Cure” Edition 5-Quart Artisan Design Series Stand Mixer, $349.50 at chefscatalog.com Back to the 2011 SAVEUR Editors’ Picks Gift Guide »
