Eating in California: A Coastal Burrito Smackdown

LA Weekly's Jonathan Gold recently ignited a firestorm of debate when he added the burrito to the already contentious NorCal vs. SoCal rivalry, calling San Francisco's Mission burritos "monstrous things...filled with what would seem to be the entire contents of an entire margarita-mill dinner." SF Weekly promptly retorted, calling Gold's leaner burrito the "Nicole Ritchie burrito… all stringy neck and pointy shoulder blades." Up north, the SF Weekly recommends La Cumbre, while down in LA, Gold likes Al & Bea's.
