While the earliest versions of Bermuda's national drink were whisked until frothy with a "swizzle stick," a small branch or stem from the allspice bush, a cocktail shaker does the trick just fine.
Ingredients
- 3 oz. dark rum
- 1 oz. simple syrup
- 1 oz. fresh orange juice
- 1⁄2 oz. fresh lime juice
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Club soda, to top
- Orange slice, to garnish
- Maraschino cherry, to garnish
Instructions
Step 1
Combine rum, simple syrup, orange juice, lime juice, and bitters in a cocktail shaker over ice. Shake well, and strain into a collins glass with fresh ice. Top with club soda. Garnish with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry.
