Kentucky Christmas

In this cocktail from Jeffrey Morgenthaler of Portland, Oregon's Clyde Common restaurant, bright, tart cranberry preserves beautifully balance the rich caramel flavor of bourbon. Ingredients

  • 2 oz. bourbon
  • 1 oz. lemon juice
  • 1 oz. simple syrup
  • 1 tsp. cranberry preserves
  • 1 oz. club soda
  • Fresh cranberries, for garnish

Instructions

Step 1

Combine bourbon, juice, syrup, and preserves in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into an old fashioned glass with crushed ice. Top with soda, and garnish with fresh cranberries.
