Herbes de Provence

This classic herb blend calls for dried herbs.

Packaged in tiny French canning jars, hand-mixed herbes de Provence make a wonderful gift for the home cook. This recipe will fill one 4-oz container; multiply it by as many jars as you wish to give out.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp. dried tarragon leaves
  • 1 12 tbsp. dried savory leaves
  • 1 tbsp. dried sage leaves
  • 1 tbsp. dried thyme leaves
  • 1 tbsp. dried lavender buds
  • 1 tbsp. dried marjoram leaves

Instructions

Step 1

Combine herbs, rubbing any whole leaves between fingers to crush them. Herb blend will keep, in an airtight container, for up to 6 months.
