La Boîte à Biscuits

A few weeks ago, I ventured into NYC's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood to celebrate the grand opening of Chef Lior Lev Sercarz's four-in-one shop-bakery—art gallery—teaching kitchen La Boite. The event featured Sercarz's seasonal collection of art-inspired biscuits, a series called "Domestic Fables," with hints of honey, clove, almond, fig, coffee, and white chocolate. Sage Tales (pictured), came packaged alongside its artistic inspiration, the fantastical work of Columbian artist Marcela Cardenas — its slightly sweet, slightly salty crunch balanced notes of dark chocolate, hazelnut, and licorice, a poetic impression of the seasons and their flavors. — Paulina Anderson
