12 Days of Holiday Sweets: Dream Cookies

Here at SAVEUR, we love anything sweet that comes out of the ovens of our test kitchen. For the next 12 days, we'll be highlighting festive recipes that will brighten your holiday dessert table. For "A Sweet Tradition," a celebration of Swedish sweets in our current December issue, we got to sample delicious bites, from gingerbread to caramels, buns, and tarts. When batches of these Swedish dream cookies were baked, we snapped them up: unlike meltaway cookies, which have a denser texture, these cookies were slightly airy and disappeared on our tongues. They also have a lovely white, cracked appearance, looking to us like snowflakes. —The Editors
